January 4th 2011,

Happy new year! I hope everyone's 2011 is off to a great start. I woke up this morning feeling refreshed and renewed. Spending the holidays with my ex was quite an experience. It was great for me to be able to see him and not feel the same old feelings, but to be able to finally let go of all that baggage. I got off the plane in London a new woman, free of the chains of my past that have prevented me from moving forward and inspired to tackle a new story.

Actually, I just finished up my valentines day short and got it submitted, I'm keeping my fingers crossed on it, and I'm hard at work on two new projects. I hope to have the next one done before I leave here next week. I'm doing the tourist thing today and taking the train to Paris for some retail therapy this weekend before my flight leaves next Tuesday.
Then I'm back in the states and heading back to Virginia and my tiny apartment.

And can I just say, what is the deal with this freakish cold weather? I about froze my Euros off yesterday.
Have a great week everybody!

December 20th;

I've landed in NC for the Christmas season, spending some time with old friends (and an old flame). I'm so grateful to have so many wonderful people in my life.

I'm leaving for London in January. I need some research, background, and inspiration for a new story I'm working on, a historical romance. And you know me, any excuse to jump across the pond.

I'm finishing up my Valentines Day story this week. Hopefully, before the end of the month it'll have a contract, cover, and blurb that I can share with you. I will say, it's my first paranormal romance and I'm having a great time with it.

Finding a job where I can create and still be free to pick up and go whenever, wherever, is the most incredible thing for me. I just hope other people love reading my stories as much as I love creating them. My goal is to have one new short release every month in 2011. It's a lofty goal, I realize, but I'm having such a great time it really feels more like play than work. I know the great people over at REBEL INK PRESS are always willing to lend a hand, but they also give me free reign. It's really a match made in heaven. Well, I'm off. Here's hoping your days are filled with joy and your nights are filled with passion! I'll write again soon!
